FWF Gift Guide: Kitchen

Can you believe it is NOVEMBER?! Where TF did this year go??? As mind-blown as I am that we’re getting closer to the holidays, I gotta admit I am PUMPED. I absolutely love the holidays—the family time, the spirit, the atmosphere, the decorations, the gifts (okay that sounds materialistic but it’s honest lol), allll the food, the drinks, the celebrating, Harry Connick Jr. on repeat, the fashion, the scented candles, etc.

As you can see, I love the holidays, BUT my least favorite part of the holidays is the “what am I going to get ___?!!” question I’m constantly stumped with. So I’m going to make it easy for you and create a few gift guides that you can not only use for your friends and family, but also add to your own list. ;)

Let’s kick off the FWF 2020 Gift Guide with the kitchen edition! Whether you have a chef in your life or are wanting to add kitchen items to your own list, this one is full of gadgets that you’ll actually use, kitchen electronics (because the older we get, the more excited we are for adult things), utensils, bar cart accessories, and of course…food!

Okay, enough talking, let’s jump right to the reason you're here: gifts. Simply click on the title of each item or the image and it’ll take you directly to the website! :) HAPPY SHOPPING!! (attention mom or dad: if you’re reading this, I’d like the bar cart, coasters, See’s Candy, and new Nespresso pods)

FWF Gift Guide: Kitchen

For the chef:

I’m putting this at the top of the list because it really is an amazing, luxury gift. If you know someone who loves to cook, this is the gift that keeps on giving!

I’m linking the most basic (aka cheapest) Vitamix here because these are pricey blenders, but I truly believe they are worth it! I use this blender for smoothies, soups, sauces, grinding coffee, chopping, the list goes on.

I have a GreenPan™ set of pots and pans and I personally think they are amazing! Good, quality pans are a must for chefs!

These will get used. I have this set and use at least one bowl every single day. From baking to mixing to serving these are amazing—they don’t take up too much space and are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe!

Every chef needs good knives. You CANNOT cook with dull knives, especially for your safety. I gifted Ed a set of knives one year and it’s been one of his favorite gifts!

I’m going to keep this simple and remind you this is a necessary tool that should belong in every kitchen.

This is the smoker we use for cocktails and it has been SO fun trying out different drinks and food to smoke! I also love this as a gift because for future holidays, birthdays, or anniversaries, you can give them new wood chip flavors! :)

Microplanes are a non-negotiable utensil in my book. They are amazing for grating garlic, cheese, ginger, nutmeg, etc. This would also make for a great stocking-stuffer! :)

I personally love Lodge Cast-Iron skillets because they hold up REALLY well! (if you properly care for them!!!) I also suggest purchasing a mini one to make my Ooey Gooey Skillet Brownie. ;)

You’re probably like, “really, a spatula?” But I prefer fish spatulas over regular spatulas for everything, even pancakes!! They make flipping so much easier and give you better control when cooking!

For the baker:

These baking sheets are perfect for the bakers (and chefs!) in your life because they are more sustainable than using parchment paper, rollup for optimal storage, and are easy to clean! They come in multiple sizes and last a long time!

The most important aspect of baking is measuring. If you’re off even a little when it comes to measuring ingredients, the entire batch can be ruined, so a good set of measuring cups is vital!

The ultimate baking gift! Sure, the arm gains are nice when you’re forced to mix with your own hand, but it’s time to give you arms a break. ;) P.S. this is on my Christmas list too!

Ice cream scoops are amazing for scooping batters into muffin tins or cookie dough onto baking sheets! And of course, you can use it for scooping ice cream on top of all your baked goods. ;)

This bakeware set will get tons of use, especially for the cookie lovers in your life! Bonus: you can use these baking sheets for roasting veggies!

I love the simplicity of this cake stand because it allows the beauty of the cake to be shown! It can also be used as a serving platter or for storing cookies & baked goods on your counter top! Bonus: it comes with a dome!!

If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with this salt. It is a non-negotiable when it comes to cookies. A little sprinkle of this on top takes your baked goods to the NEXT LEVEL. (fun fact: it’s also really good in smoothies)

For the foodie:

McEvoy Ranch, located 30 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, focuses on sustainable farming practices. They offer food, wine, & olive oil (what else do you need in life?!) My mom actually gifted this set to Ed last year and it has been so fun trying each one in salad dressings and when cooking!

This one is for the meat lovers in your life. Belcampo offers quality meat that is good for the planet, animals, and people. Their products are AMAZING!!

I think every coffee drinker should own a Nespresso machine especially w/ the milk frother! Major bonus of gifting this espresso machine is that you can give them Nespresso pods for every special gift-giving occasion in the future!! (just make sure you buy the appropriate pods for your machine!)

Okay I’m adding this to MY list!! Some days you want iced coffee and some days you want hot coffee, but you never want room-temp coffee, so this little mug will solve all your problems.

Because who doesn’t like cheese. This would also look good with my Low-Lactose Cheese Plate. ;) I also recommend these cheese knives to go with it!

Honestly this is just too cute to not give as a gift!!! Perfect for rinsing berries and also storing them in the fridge!

Because 2020 hasn’t been easy, and these plates will make you smile. :)

These are eco-friendly and way better than buying plastic baggies! For storing food, travel snacks, lunch box goodies, frozen fruit, the list goes on!

Honestly, sometimes you just need chocolate. And See’s is the BEST. Also a wonderful gift for the hostess!!

For the bar cart-enthusiast:

You may have a bar cart enthusiast in your life that doesn’t yet own a bar cart! (or needs an updated bar cart) This bar cart is inexpensive, doesn’t take up too much space, and will look cute in any apartment or home!

These cocktail glasses are chic, retro, and versatile! They can be used for old-fashioneds, margaritas, negronis, or even iced coffee if you’re feelin’ fancy!

I love these glasses so much! They aren’t your typical wine glass and they have a super long stem, which instantly makes you feel chicer. And how cool are those champagne flutes?!

Finally a bar tool set that you can actually see on display! And bonus: this one will look super cute on the bar cart linked above. ;)

Because you don’t want to be scrubbing lipstick off your glassware, they look cute on a bar cart, and they’re eco-friendly!

I should really be buying these for my boyfriend because if you’ve been following me for a while you’d know that I’m still training him to use a coaster. Anyways lol, these are super fun!

I know paper cups aren’t super exciting, BUT these are way cuter than red solo cups and are perfect for those who tend to break glasses a lot (cough cough me lol).

A fun cocktail book for the bar cart enthusiast who might need a little drink inspo!

Happy shopping and happy holidays!
