Workouts I Love: Health House

Let’s be real, I’m pretty type-A—I’m a creature of habit and I thrive on a routine. And thanks to COVID, I was forced to switch up my morning routine and I can honestly say I am SO much happier now. I love to start my day by moving my body, so when we went on the 2-week lockdown (that lasted months), it forced me to step out of my Orangetheory bubble and find new ways to workout. Besides launching my blog (hehe), this has been one of my favorite parts of 2020! 

In this new series, I’m going to break down different workout platforms I’ve tried throughout the past few months/years and why I love them. Let’s start with my new fav: Health House

Health House, based out of West-Hollywood, is an at-home workout platform that only costs $19/month! For $19/month you get access to their daily live workouts, a slew of workout videos, and a 7-minute personal video assessment with one of their amazing trainers! I started doing their live Instagram workouts months ago and quickly fell in love. When they launched their new online platform, Health House At Home, I knew 100% I’d be signing up! (P.S. your first month is free!!)

Health House At Home’s workouts are focused on circuit-based strength training, so it’s recommended that you have a set of light, medium, and heavy weights. (Luckily, the gym in my apartment building reopened so I thankfully have access to dumbbells.) They go live Monday-Friday at 8am PST and save the workouts for a week, so there is no pressure of doing the workout at a certain time each day or setting an alarm (unless you want to experience the live workout and do it with them). They also have a ton of workout videos saved that you can access anytime! The classes last between 40-50 minutes, but I swear they FLY by!! The trainers are uh-mazing and have SO much energy. After completing my 7-minute assessment, it allowed me to feel more connected to the platform and the trainers, they really do care about the personal growth of their clients, which you can feel during each workout.

During the workouts, they motivate you in the best way possible and play killer music. I’ve seriously noticed noticed myself getting stronger too!! You don’t need a ton of space either, I usually prop my phone up in the gym and follow along using only a few feet of room! The music is fun, the trainers are incredible, and I’ve gained a lot of confidence from these workouts, AND it’s only $19 a month!
